Modification of national procedures in Belgium: end of authorization and notification procedures.
 
New Royal Decree concerning the registration procedure announced for April 2018.
Implications of this new Royal Decree:
 
- This Royal Decree will modify the Royal Decree of the 8 Mai 2014
- Only concerns the national procedure during the transitional period
- For the industry:
  • One procedure (registration)
  • Shorter processing time: 40 days instead of 90 days or 180 days (if the file is oriented towards a restricted evaluation)
  • Reduced file requirements
  • Longer validity period.
  • Improved management of EU files (BPR)
 
- For the biocides service:
  • Reduced workload on national files
  • Possibility to focus on EU procedures and to specialize / train
