Legal and Regulatory Officer

As part of our continued growth and international development, we are strengthening our internal legal and regulatory capabilities. We are therefore looking to recruit a Legal and Regulatory Officer, a hybrid role designed to support both our regulatory activities and our multi-country legal and social framework.This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of regulatory affairs, commercial law and international employment law, contributing directly to the structuring, compliance and sustainability of our international operations.

Positioning within the organisation

  • Functionally reporting to the CEO
  • Close collaboration with: 
    HR Manager
    Business Unit Directors

Purpose of the role

The Legal & Regulatory Officer provides structured and pragmatic legal support to RRA, covering:

  • legal matters related to regulatory and contractual activities,
  • international employment law and legal aspects linked to the management and development of the group’s legal entities. (currently in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Portugal )

The role aims to secure company practices, anticipate legal risks and support RRA’s international growth.

Main responsibilities regarding the Regulatory affairs & commercial matters (50%)

  • Review, analyse and secure commercial contracts, including:
    client agreements
    service contracts
  • Verify the legal compliance of documents related to regulatory activities
  • Provide legal support to Regulatory Affairs teams by:
    interpreting legal and regulatory frameworks,
    analysing legislative impacts on RRA’s activities.
  • Contribute to transversal regulatory and legal monitoring, in coordination with the departments
  • Support the BUDs and the CEO on matters related to liability, legal risks and statutory obligations

Main responsibilities regarding Legal matters, international structuring & HR Law ( 50%)

Overall Legal support to the company ( NDAs, collaboration agreements and consortium agreements )

Support the multi-country legal and employment framework, covering:

  • employment law,
  • main principles of social and employment-related taxation,
  • local contractual frameworks and obligations.

Support the creation and structuring of new legal entities abroad, including:

  • coordination with local law firms and advisors,
  • centralisation of legal information.

Provide operational support to the HR Manager by:

  • analysing complex situations ( eg : termination contracts in other countries, contractual negotiations with employees abroad..)
  • securing international HR practices.

Contribute to the standardisation of HR-related documents and practices across countries

Profile and Skills :

  • Master in law
  • First experience in an international or advisory environment
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Interest in scientific, regulated environment

Assets :

Knowledge of french, dutch, portuguese, social legislation

Knowedge of the regulatory frameworks in regards with PPP/Biostimulants/Biocidal products.

Open to full-time or part-time contract.
